A HypnoBirthing course helps your mind and body work together to create the best possible birth you can have, whatever route it takes. We teach practical techniques to help you stay calm, relaxed and confident throughout pregnancy and birth.
What is HypnoBirthing?
Hypnobirthing combines visualisations and relaxations with simple breathing techniques that help manage pain and allow you to feel calm and in control while you birth your baby. The ability to relax and connect to your inner calm will be invaluable beyond birth too: as you embark on a new chapter as parents, you will have the strategies you need to stay calm and in touch with your instincts.
All our classes can be booked online as well as in person. We offer HypnoBirthing in English in Zürich, Zug and St. Gallen. Due to the current situation we want to give all couples a choice. HypnoBirthing is a birth preparation that focuses on the mind and our inner calm, so there are no physical exercises apart from breathing exercises, which means it can be followed easily online.
Online participants have the advantage of practicing in the comfort of their own home and without face masks. We only offer live classes, as this is the only way to teach HypnoBirthing properly and safe. Participants who prefer coming to our course location have to wear a mask, but will benefit from meeting in person.
At the moment we only offer private English HypnoBirthing classes. In case you want to join a German group class, we can offer you to provide you with the English class material.

My name is Cileia, I grew up in Switzerland but lived abroad for over 10 years. I came to HypnoBirthing as a mother: I used to work in a large internet company, but then followed my passion for working with couples to prepare for birth and trained with Katharine Graves in London followed by a training with HypnoBirthing Switzerland. There is no right or wrong way to give birth, but for me, the births of my three children were the most transformative events in my life, and I want you to love your birth experience too. When I signed up to a HypnoBirthing class during my first pregnancy, I was sceptical and worried it would be too “hippie” for me. Nothing could be further from the truth: what I learned were practical techniques that are backed by evidence and left me feeling informed, empowered and confident, which is how I want you to leave your class, too.
HypnoBirthing is a birth preparation which focuses on relaxation and breathing techniques in order to reduce tension and pain during childbirth. It helps you to experience a positive birth.
Anxiety around birth leads to tension in the body, which in turn increases pain. HypnoBirthing can help you manage this pain, increase your confidence and help you feel in control of your birth experience.
You can start with HypnoBirthing whenever you feel ready! Some women come as early as 16 weeks, others come much later, but it is never too late and the class will help you even if you are close to your due date. Most women book their class between the 20-30 week mark.
